The Salina Casita is an Accessory Dwelling Unit in East Austin.  Part new construction and part reclaimed space (from an existing garage), the project is unique due to its exterior wall assembly.  During construction, the north and south stud walls were painted pink and sandwiched between layers of insulative polycarbonate.  As a result, sunlight filters through the walls, filling interior spaces with light that changes hue throughout the day.
